I have been a Teacher and Coach at Buford High School for 25 years and have coached football and track. I have taught Economics, Work-Based Learning, and am currently teaching our Teaching as a Profession Pathway. I am blessed to sponsor Fellowship of Christian Athletes while at Buford! I grew up in Toccoa, Georgia, graduated from Stephens County High School in 1988, was a student and graduate assistant with the Auburn Football Team from 1988-1993 under Coach Pat Dye, my Uncle, and Coach Terry Bowden. After graduating from Auburn with a Marketing degree and a graduate degree in Education, I married my high school sweetheart, Amy Sanders, in 1994 and we moved to Jasper, Georgia where I coached at Pickens County High School for 5 years. In 1999 we got an opportunity to move to Buford and coach with Jess Simpson, one of my closest friends from Auburn. Amy and I have twin girls, Caroline and Callie, who are Class of 2021 Buford graduates and current Juniors at Auburn University. They are very active in their Sorority, church, and academic / athletic life. I am grateful to have been mentored by men like my father, Coach Dye, Dexter Wood, and many others. In my spare time I enjoy exercise, grilling, fishing, spending time with family, and playing the piano.
