Tierra Styles is a native of Buford, Ga. where she graduated from Buford High School in 2007. She has a business degree and has been working in the banking industry for 8 years. Tierra has 1 son- Christian with her husband Rev. Jermaine Styles Sr., and gained 4 bonus children -Kya, Dre, Jr., and Justice, and 2 grandchildren-Kambryn and Kaisyn. She has been ministering through song since the age of 3. A few years after tragedy struck in her life, with the loss of her son Tye, she answered the call on her life by attending and graduating from Tabernacle International Church School of Ministry becoming a certified licensed ordained minister of the gospel by authority of Apostle Fritz Musser. Tierra was later licensed and ordained to go forth by Bishop, Dr. Don Maddox. She continues to serve the Lord through ministering to the people she encounters daily. She serves others during time of bereavement and plays an active role on the ministerial staff at Union Baptist Church of Buford. Tierra is an advocate for mothers who’ve lost children and loves to give to those in need. She was awarded the humanitarian award by the Women of Virtue Transitional FDN and is Co-Founder to Prophesied Purpose Ministries, a non-profit serving the community whose mission is: Striving to be an asset to the community by helping those in need spiritually while providing resources readily available through relationship building.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have a loving husband -Jermaine Styles Sr.who I’ve been married to for 5 years. We have 5 children-Christian, Justice, Jr, Dre, & Kya, 2 grandchildren -Kambryn & Kaison, and 1 angel-Tye. Our roots run deep in Buford through the Maddox’s-my maternal side, as well as the Styles & Wansley’s-on my husbands side.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
My current position is Bank Officer/ Loan Operations Officer at Signature Bank of Georgia. Previously I held a position at Quantum National Bank as Loan Operations Quality Control. I started my banking career at People’s Bank & Trust in Buford where I gained a lifelong family.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
My mother, sister, and I moved to Buford when I was 4 years old and fell in love with the small town community. In the Buford community everyone knew each other and helped one another and i grew to love the culture. Several years after graduating from Buford High School I began a career at People’s Bank & Trust where I worked for 7 years.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would travel to Greece, it looks so serene and peaceful.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I can’t pick just one, but I love to watch Christmas movies, they just make you feel good!
Q: What advice would you give to people?
“ Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your path” Proverbs 3:5
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
To ride a hot air balloon & skydive
Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
I don’t have a go to band more like a go to station on Pandora. I like to hit the Bebe & CeCe Winans station and let it play.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I would love to have lunch with Stacey Welch, she was my 3rd grade teacher. I would love to have lunch with Mrs. Welch because I have never forgot how passionate and exciting she was as a teacher. I would meet her at Rico’s World Kitchen!
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
My favorite thing about the Buford Community is how they rally together as family.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I see myself growing in Christ and continuing to spread the gospel through acts of service. I see myself furthering my career in banking by becoming a lender or loan operations manager. I see myself continuing to be the best wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
My weekly wind down time is a Sunday skate night.
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
I loved the mountains in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee it was so relaxing and beautiful.
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
Well of course my birthday June 18th is the day. Favorite month used to be April when it starts warming up a bit, but you never know what you’re going to get in Georgia. My favorite holiday is Christmas.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My husband inspires me to be better and to do everything unto the glory of God.
