I also served as head baseball coach for 21 years, head softball coach for 14 years and as an assistant varsity football coach for 10 years. I have loved serving the kids, both in the classroom and on the fields all these years, and loved representing this community through athletics. There are so many wonderful people in this community who love Buford, and are so willing to help make Buford an amazing community and school system.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Bravo’s and Rico’s would probably be my first choices for favorite restaurants, but there are many more outstanding ones as well.

I have lived in Buford 34 years and worked here for 28 years.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I am not much of a traveler, but I would settle for a quiet beach somewhere. Kim and I love sitting on the beach and enjoying the peace that you feel
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I am not a movie guy, really never have time to go watch. I do enjoy TV, so shows like NCIS and Chicago Fire, would be two of my favorites.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Work to be great at everything you do, be grateful in every circumstance, and live a worthy life that you can be proud of.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Attend the Masters Golf Tournament.
Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
The Eagles. I am not a big music guy, but I love the Eagles and how it reminds me of my younger days when life was easier.
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
I miss Puckett’s restaurant and I still enjoy Lee’s Golden Buddha.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
It would probably be a coach. Maybe Brian Snitker, Nick Saban, Coach K or Geno Aueriemma. Anyone who has had a great impact on others, and helped people achieve great success.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love how this community has always put kids first and greatly supports everything involving kids. The schools and the recreation facilities are world class, and shows how much this community cares about the kids. I also love how the people have maintained their pride in the community, and support everything and everyone.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Hopefully I will be retired, but yet serving others in some role. I would love to get back into coaching kids, or possibly mentoring younger coaches in some capacity.
