Hey! I’m Rebekah! I’m the Founder & CEO at Jambos, a local nonprofit dedicated to serving kids in the foster care system by providing them with brand new pajamas! I am a mom to three girls and Recently became a cat lady! I am originally from Kentucky- Go Cats and I am a diehard Atlanta Braves fan!
I love church on Sundays, lemon pepper wings and high top sneakers! I’ve never met a donut I don’t like.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have three daughters. Audrey 15, Jett 11, and Reagan 10 & a kitty named Oates.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I am currently living in my passion and purpose! I left a fast-paced corporate world to pursue a career in ministry which then led me to entrepreneurship. I love all things leadership and I am passionate about serving our community and the foster community specifically. The fun part of my job is that I get to be on the front row of watching our community do good for one another.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Tani Thai- take all my money!

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
8 years

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Kenya, Africa. I have been to Kenya five times and it Never ceases to amaze me. The people are so rich in spirit and the wind blows different in Africa.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Friends, Field of Dreams

Q: What advice would you give to people?
If you can get out of your own way, you’ll get somewhere. 2. Don’t let getting started stop you.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
I want to take my girls to the Kentucky Derby.

Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Don’t judge me- but I LOVE Hall and Oates

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Sarah Jakes Roberts we’d go to Tani Thai for sure!

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love the Buford Christmas parade

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Speaking at conferences full of women who want to start their own businesses.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I wrote a children’s book … currently being illustrated! Stay tuned!

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Massai Mara in Kenya.

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
October! Post season baseball and football and all things pumpkin! Best day of the year is opening day of baseball. It’s actually as paid holiday at Jambos!

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Box seats at game 5 of the World Series. Best day ever.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My family

Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
Pipe tobacco because it reminds me of my papaw.
