I have lived in Buford for the last 25 years. My wife and I settled here for the sense of community and at the time, it was still on the outskirts of suburbia. I have a wife of 30 years, Lori and 2 adult children, Jordan and Jenna. Jordan is now a teacher in Dacula and Jenna is a Senior at Georgia Tech.
I am a CERTFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERâ„¢ with Edward Jones and have an office in Buford off Hamilton Mill Road. I wanted to be able to help those in the community that I love.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have a wife of 30 years, Lori, two daughters, Jordan and Jenna and we have our first grandson who is turning 1 this year.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have been in the financial field for 14 years and love to use my knowledge to help others realize their financial dreams. Most people start dreaming of their ideal retirement in their 40’s but do not know if they are on track. I document their goals and develop a plan to get them to their dreams. To be able to share the process and tell a client that they are on track is priceless.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
We love to visit locally owned restaurants when we can, Aqua Terra and Rico’s are always on point.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
We first moved to the area in 1996 and have lived here since then.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Italy. My wife and I are looking to buy a villa and live in Italy during retirement.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Breaking Bad is my all time favorite.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Don’t ever give up. Keep fighting. Once you realize that you can make it, your life will change for the positive.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
It was Hang Gliding. I have started to act on my bucket list and went hang gliding last year. Should have done it much earlier in life as it was a bit scary now.
Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Eminem. Not what most people would think.
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
I had a barber shop that I went to on Main Street. It was like being in Mayberry.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Warren Buffett. We would meet at his favorite place, Dairy Queen. Warren is a simple man that has conviction and sticks with it.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The people. I have been looking for ways to give back to the community and joined the North Gwinnet Kiwanis a few years ago. We are making a difference in so many peoples lives.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Retired in Italy
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I served in the Navy for 6 years and never set foot on a ship.
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Taormina, Sicily

September- the start of football season!

Spoiling my grandchild.

My kids.

Right after a summer rain and preparing Thanksgiving dinner.
