Grew up in Snellville Ga. Got my Bachelors degree at GCSU. Been married for 17 years. Started working with my father right out of highschool and joined the family business full time in 2005. I enjoy the outdoors, boating, golf, UGA football, watching my kids play sports, and spending time at my farm. Our family attends Buford First Baptist Church. My wife and best friend Paige is part owner of Armstrong’s Cricket Farm in Glennville, Ga and just finished her courses to be a certified life coach. My oldest daughter Avery currently plays softball for Buford Middle and cheers for Buford Football. My youngest daughter Charlotte cheers for Pro Cheer in Braselton and is the best fisherman in the family.

 

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My wife Paige and I have been married for 17 years. Our daughter Avery is in 8th grade and our daughter Charlotte is in 4th grade. We have a dog named Kirby that is a Cavapoodle and is the most spoiled member of the family.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have worked full time at Ewing Motor Company for 17 years working along side of my father, Red Ewing. I enjoy the challenges of work. The car business demands a lot of time and energy and we are very fortunate to have so many loyal customers.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Bare bones. Niko Niko. Mooneys Texas Barbecue. Antebellum.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
Lived here 15 years and worked here for 17 years. The family business has been here in Buford since 1979.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Stephen Fountain. The guy is genuine and has a servants heart. He selflessly sacrifices his time for this community without getting the credit he deserves.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Montana. I would love to go to Yellowstone ranch and find a spot to deer/elk hunt along the way.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Top Gun has always been my favorite movie. Yellowstone. 1883. Meateater and any hunting shows.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Treat people like you want to be treated. Be grateful for what you have. Expect nothing and work for everything.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Take a hunting trip out west.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Willy Robertson. He loves Jesus and the outdoors. He’s a family man and a wise business man. I think he would enjoy Mooneys BBQ.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The school system is certainly unique and makes the community special. We are so grateful to have our kids attend Buford City Schools. I think they get a great education and are pushed to excel in both athletics and the arts.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Hope to still be in the car business, but working a little less and spending a little more time at my farm.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
One of my favorite restaurants is S&S cafeteria. I love southern cooking.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Punta Cana for mine and my wife’s 10th wedding anniversary.

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
December. Christmas. Always get really excited for opening day of hunting season with my hunting buddies.

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
God’s word and my Mamas cooking. It’s the only two things in life that I can trust to be good 100% of the time.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My Dad and my kids. They are a reminder everyday of how important it is to lead by example even when it hurts.

Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
Fresh cut grass and the smell of steaks on the grill.

Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Family. Comfort. Laughter.
