I grew up in Buford my whole life. I had the privilege of attending Buford City Schools K-12. Buford is home. I graduated from the University of North Georgia with a degree in accounting. I am now in public practice helping small businesses and individuals with tax preparation and planning. I love helping business owners navigate through the difficult and daunting tax laws. I recently married the love of my life and bought our first house.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My wife Lauren is a 2nd grade teacher at Johns Creek Elementary

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I am a tax preparer and auditor at Alexander, Almand & Bangs, LLP. I love being able to meet so many business owners and professionals in a wide variety of industries. It is fulfilling to provide clarity to our clients dealing with one of their most difficult problems… the tax code.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Rico’s World Kitchen has always been a go-to restaurant for my family

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have lived in Buford for 24 years.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would love to travel to Australia and see the Great Barrier Reef. I’m a certified Scuba diver but never had the opportunity to see anything like that.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
The Office and The Walking Dead.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Never give up and always strive to be the best at what you do.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Visit the Greek islands. Our honeymoon was planned there but was cancelled due to the coronavirus.

Q: What is your go to band when you cant decide what to listen to?
Luke Combs is never a bad choice

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Nick Saban to ask when he will retire so that the Bulldogs can finally win a national championship. He is paying for my lunch at Bare Bones Steakhouse.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Although is has rapidly grown over the years, it still has a small town feel. The community looks out for each other.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Still helping clients meet their goals and solve problems. Potentially have some crumb snatchers living in my house.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I’ve been playing guitar since I was 9.

Red Rock Canyons
