I’m Lynne Oliver. I am the owner of The Produce Patch in Buford. I’ve enjoyed serving Buford providing locally sourced fresh fruits and vegetables for nearly 17 years.

 

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have four sons, three granddaughters, and two grandsons. I live in Gainesville. Two of my sons work with me at The Produce Patch.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I love interacting with my customers, who have become family. It’s a privilege to provide good quality produce to the people of Buford.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Don’t argue about something that doesn’t make any difference.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
I don’t have a bucket list. I try to enjoy every day.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
My location, the atmosphere, the vintage feel and the paintings on the building.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Dolly Parton and I would take her to Rico’s.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
It’s small enough for people to know one another and large enough to have everything we need.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Doing the very same thing I’m doing now.

I treat my dogs as if they were my children.
